1. The Service

xacc provides CSV-based record-keeping and accounting tools that let you import transaction data, categorize records, manage invoices and bills, and generate financial statements for one or more business entities. xacc does not connect directly to bank accounts; you are responsible for exporting and importing your own data.

2. Accounts and entities

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Each business or company you add to the Service is managed as a separate "entity."

3. Pricing and future changes

• The Service is currently offered free of charge, with no limit on the number of entities you may add, as described on our pricing page.
• We may introduce paid plans or features in the future. If we do, we will provide reasonable notice before any charges apply to your account, and continued use of a paid feature after that notice constitutes acceptance of the applicable charges.
• We reserve the right to change what is offered free of charge, though we will not retroactively charge you for usage that occurred while a feature was offered for free.

You retain all rights to the data you upload or create in the Service ("Customer Data"). You are solely responsible for the accuracy of Customer Data and for complying with any accounting, tax, or record-keeping laws that apply to your business. xacc is a tool to help organize records — it does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice, and using the Service does not substitute for professional advice from a qualified accountant, bookkeeper, or advisor.

You can export your Customer Data from the Service at any time in commonly used formats.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data; reverse-engineer or resell the Service without our written consent; or upload data you do not have the right to use.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service, and may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

7. Termination
